Inspired by "Drops of Jupiter" by Train, I worked on designing an illustrative calendar for a Thematic project at university. Each month is based on one section of the lyrics. This is for November, based on the lyrics "She checks out mozart while she does tae bo, reminds me that there's room to grow"

Line art drawn in pencil, scanned & coloured using photoshop cs6 & wacom intuos 5, frottaged & photographic textures applied also.

I like how bright the sky is compared to the darkness of most of the rest of the piece. And the lighting around it, on the water and in the rim of the branches, looks stunning. :love:
